Task settings - templates

Hi there, 

I am struggling with the Task settings - templates.

The templates I create disappear.

What is the point of creating templates for the tasks - if they just disappear?

Also there should be a delete option to delete tasks that are overdue but I was not here to do them therefore I cannot complete them. It clogs up the notification list. 

Please help!
