Install the HICAPS Bridge

To install the HICAPS Bridge, follow these steps.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Payments & Billing > Services.
- From the Payment Services tab, select HICAPS.
- Click Download.
- Open the Bridge Setup file.
- Click Next.
- Read the End-User License Agreement and select the 'I accept the terms in the License Agreement' option.
- Click Next.
- Set a Destination Folder for the HICAPS Bridge.
- Click Next.
- Click on the Install button.
- Click on the Finish button.
- After the installation is completed, return to the HICAPS page.
- Click Activate.
- Once you have completed these steps, the HICAPS Bridge will be ready for use, streamlining your practice's operations.
Set Up HICAPS Merchant IDs
You can set up HICAPS merchant IDs for providers to ensure that payments made to them are reflected in their accounts.
| Note: This feature can be only be used when Provider Tagging to Receipts is enabled. |
To set up HICAPS merchant IDs for providers,
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Payments & Billing > Services.
- From the Payment Services tab, select HICAPS.
- Click Edit.
- Click + Add New.
- Select the Provider.
- Enter the Merchant ID.
- Select the Locations to tag the Merchant ID to.
- Once done, click Save.
- Now, when you make a payment using HICAPS, the Merchant ID mapped to the provider will auto-populate.
- In case the merchant ID is not mapped for the provider or the payment location, a warning will appear stating, 'Merchant ID mapping is NOT configured for the selected provider at the selected location'.
