Patient Alerts are helpful for you to remember important information about a patient. You can also customise where the patient alert will pop up depending on where you are in a patient's profile.

Follow these simple steps to create a patient alert.
- Select the patient using the Global Search Bar.
- Click Pat. Alert (Patient Alert).
Click +Add Alert.
On the Add Alert modal that appears, enter the required information:
- Content: Enter the intended message.
- Priority: Select the priority as Low, Medium, High, or Critical.
- Level: Select whether this alert should appear for the patient only or for all account members.
- Patient: Confirm the patients' names that should have this alert appear on their profile.
- Select your Start Date, then choose an End Date
- Check the Mark as Indefinite option to set the alert to appear always unless disabled.
- Alert Touchpoints: Choose the sections within the patient's profile where you want this message to display.
- Click Save.
| Note: You can only view patients of the same location as yours unless you are a Super Admin. |
- The alert will appear when you click the configured touchpoint.
Let's check out the actions that you can perform on the Alerts pop-up.
Snooze
- Select the required alert(s).
- Check mark Select All to select all alerts at one go.
- Select the duration you want the alert(s) to be snoozed.
- Choose the Always option if you want to snooze the selected alerts permanently.
- Click Snooze.
Delete
- Select the required alert(s).
- Click Delete.
- Click Delete on the confirmation pop-up.
Manage Alerts
- Click Manage Alerts.
- You will be redirected to the Alerts page.
- Click Edit on the intended alert(s).
| Tip: You will see a Snoozed tag on any patient alerts that were snoozed by the practice user. To view how long the snooze will last, refer to the Snooze Until column. |
On the Edit Alert pop-up:
- Update the details as required.
- Modify the Alert Touchpoints to determine the sections in which the patient alert should show up.
- Click Save.
- A toast notification will appear on the top right stating 'Alert updated successfully.'
