If your HICAPS Terminal does not appear in CareStack, it might not be connected to the computer. Here are two ways to resolve this issue:
- Re-scan for HICAPS Terminals
- Configure HICAPS Connection
1. Re-scan for HICAPS Terminals
Follow the steps mentioned below to Re-scan for HICAPS Terminals:
- Right-click on the HICAPS Connect icon at the bottom-right of your screen.
- The icon will appear red, indicating that the terminal is not detected.
Note: If the icon is green, select Re-scan for HICAPS Terminals to prompt the system to search for the terminal, causing the icon to turn red. |
- Select Re-scan for HICAPS Terminals.
- A pop-up notification will appear at the bottom right, identifying any terminal(s), if detected.
| Tip: Even after the pop-up appears, if you still cannot find the HICAPS option on the CareStack payment page, the issue may be related to the HICAPS Bridge. In that case, you may refer to Install HICAPS Bridge. |
2. Configure HICAPS Connection
The second method is to configure your HICAPS terminal, as the issue may be caused by an incorrect Communication Port.
Here is how to verify this:
- Right-click on the HICAPS Connect icon at the bottom-right of the screen.
- Select Configure.
- You may notice that the COM Port is not selected, OR one of the COM Ports may be selected while the other is not.
- Select the unselected COM Port.
- Click Save.
- After saving, right-click on the HICAPS Connect icon.
- Select Re-scan for HICAPS Terminals. (This should resolve the issue.)
However, if you are still unable to find your terminal, please restart your computer. Yet, if the problem still persists, kindly reach out to the HICAPS helpdesk for further assistance.
