System Transactions refer to a detailed list of all the transactions done on a patient's account, like an audit trail for a patient ledger. It differs from ledger transactions, in terms of more visibility as it shows historical transactions including adjustments and reversals.

This article presents a quick overview of the system transactions page in CareStack. Let's get started!
To view System Transactions,
- Select the patient using the Global Search bar > hover over Billing > click System Transactions.
Here you will view two tabs namely 'Patient Transactions' and 'Account Transactions'.
- Click Patient Transactions to view all system transactions of the patient.
- Click Account Transactions to display all transactions of all family members of the patient's account.
You can filter the system transactions by the following criteria:
- Date: View the transaction date and time stamp.
- Patient: The patient for whom the transaction has taken place.
- Proc. (Procedure) Code: The procedure code related to the transaction.
- Trans. (Transaction) Code: Transaction codes ( identifiers ) used to categorise and manage system transactions.
- Descriptions: Provide details about the transaction and display any associated amounts.
- Provider: Select the treatment provider by code-level entries.
- Pat. Amt (Patient Amount): Search for patient amount.
- Ins. Amt (Insurance Amount): Search for the insurance amount
- Tot. Acc. Bal (Total Account Balance): Search for the total balance of the account.
- Acc. Credit (Account Credit): Any amounts that were credited or debited from the account. A minus value indicates that credits were debited.
- User's Name: Select the user name who has performed the transaction.

Tip: Select the Show Consolidated View checkbox to organise transactions by type, grouping patient receipts together and listing adjustments separately below the patient receipts. |
