Faster Imports ⌵

How Faster Import Works 

We have completely redesigned how image import works in Aeka, so it feels natural, immediate, and uninterrupted. Everything happens directly in the canvas with no extra steps or modals.

a. Adding Photos in Bulk (No Layout Selected)

Perfect when you do not have a layout in mind.

1. Click Acquire Exam and select Blank Layout.
2. Drag and drop images directly into the canvas.
3. Aeka automatically creates the required slots and places each image for you.
   • You are set with no setup or manual arranging required.
4. Keyboard Shortcuts
   • Import even faster using your keyboard:
     • Use Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V to paste images directly into the canvas.

b. Using Existing Layouts

Already working with a layout? We have made that smoother too.

1. Click + Acquire and select your desired layout.
2. Imported images appear neatly in the side tray.
3. Drag and drop them into the slots you want instantly.

Whether you are importing in bulk or working within a predefined layout, Faster Imports keeps your workflow quick and flexible.

Automatic Hub Reconnection ⌵

We have redesigned how Hub disconnections are handled, meaning the 'Hub Disconnected' modal will no longer interrupt your workflow. In most cases, you will not see this modal anymore, as the system now reconnects automatically in the background.

What’s Improved

• The system now keeps retrying the Hub connection automatically.
• No refresh needed and no need to stop what you are doing.
• Your workflow continues without interruption.

What You Will Notice Now

• If the Hub disconnects, the system quietly keeps trying to reconnect.
• As soon as the Hub is available, it reconnects on its own with no action required.
• If there is no Hub on the system, it will automatically switch to Import Only Mode without showing a modal or asking you to choose.

When to Contact Support

The 'Hub Disconnected' modal should no longer appear. Please contact support at [e-mail] if the system repeatedly fails to automatically reconnect and displays a message directing you to reach out.

Instant Image Preview During Acquisition ⌵

How It Works

• Hover over any slot to reveal the Preview button.
• View the image immediately in a pop-up preview.
• Capture confidently with real-time visual feedback.

Choose Where Auto Capture Begins ⌵

You now have full control over your capture sequence. If you prefer to begin from your camera slot, you can go ahead and do that.

How It Works

• Click any slot in your layout.
• Hit Auto Capture.
• Aeka starts capturing from your chosen slot onward, without looping back.
