We are releasing an Offline version of AEKA Imaging, designed to keep everything running smoothly even without an internet connection.
When connectivity is lost, users are prompted to switch to Offline Mode, where they can:
- Create new patients or access recently used records
- Capture and import images
- Review images
Once the internet connection is restored, users can switch back to online mode and sync offline data.

We have upgraded the imaging workflow by combining the Acquisition and Exam Editor into a single, unified experience with real-time saving.
What Problem It Solves
Previously, users had to manually click 'Save Exam' after capturing images to save their work. Making layout changes was also inconvenient, requiring them to go back to the acquisition screen, update the layout, and save again. Additionally, exams could not be edited after 24 hours, making it difficult to revisit or update them later.
This update simplifies your workflow by automatically saving images in real time and bringing all actions into one place, allowing users to edit at any time.
What’s improved
-
AutoSave to Cloud
- Images are now automatically saved and uploaded to the cloud during capture or import, eliminating the need to manually click Save Exam and reducing the risk of data loss.
-
One Canvas for Capture and Review
- The separate Exam Editor screen has been removed, allowing users to capture, view and edit images directly within the Acquisition screen.
-
Image Details Visible at First Sight
- Teeth numbers and image type are always visible on images in the Acquisition screen.
-
Flexible Editing (Even After 24 Hours)
- Users can now resize image slots, reorder images with drag and drop, and delete or restore images directly within the canvas at any time.
Note: These actions are available even for older exams. Image capture and import remain restricted after 24 hours.
