Enable the Patient Tracker Compressed View
Users can enable the Patient Tracker Compressed View by following these simple steps:
Navigate to the System Menu > select User Settings.
Next, under General Settings,
Click Edit.
- Set the Display Patient Tracker Compressed View toggle to Yes.
- Click Save.
You will see the Patient Tracker Compressed View on the top, which can now be viewed at the top across the system.
Actions on the Patient Tracker Compressed View
On the Patient Tracker Compressed View, you can view Upcoming Arrivals and any number of appointment statuses of your choice.

- Click any appointment status chip to view appointment cards arranged by appointment time. Each card displays patient information, including appointment time, operatory, production type, and provider.
- If a patient’s appointment status exceeds the maximum time threshold, a red indicator will appear on the status chip.
- If the threshold is crossed for an appointment, it will come on top and take precedence over the appointment start time ordering.
- You can also see how Early or Late the patient was from the indicator on the appointment card.
- Click the intended appointment card to see pending actions and related quick links. Use the quick links to complete actions related to the appointment.
Pending Actions include:
- Forms & Documents: Find pending medical history forms and other pending forms of the patient.
- Payments: Make any pending payments of the patient.
- Book Next Appointment: View a patient's pending recalls and associated clipboards, as well as book new appointments.
- Click on the Provider icon to filter appointments by provider.
- Search for and select the required Providers.
- Click Apply.
- Click on the speaker icon to mute Patient Tracker Notifications.
You can also change the appointment status of a patient from the Patient Tracker Compressed View. To do so,
- Click on the desired Appointment Status chip.
- Select and drag the desired appointment card to the appropriate appointment status.
Customise the Patient Tracker Compressed View
To customise the Patient Tracker Compressed View for your practice, follow these steps:
Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Patient Tracker.
- Select the Tracker Settings tab. Here, you will find the Patient Tracker Compressed View settings.
- You can view the Selected Statuses and the Pre-Arrival Statuses.
- Click Edit to select the Statuses you want to be displayed.
| Note: The order of the appointment status chips on top is based on the order in which the user has set up appointment statuses in Practice Settings > Scheduler > Appointment Status. |
- Choose the statuses you want to be displayed from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
Group Pre-Arrival Statuses
Pre-Arrival Statuses, such as Scheduled and Confirmed, show upcoming appointments for the day and are grouped together under the Upcoming Arrivals chip on the Patient Tracker Compressed View.
To group Pre-Arrival Statuses, follow these steps:
Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Scheduler > General Settings.
- Click Edit next to the Appointment Status Group.
- Search for and select the statuses you would like to group as a Pre-Arrival Status from the dropdown.
- Click Apply.
- Once done, click Save.
