Adding a recall to a patient is an important task in dental practice management. It involves scheduling future appointments to ensure that patients return for routine check-ups, follow-up visits, or preventive care as recommended. Recalls help maintain continuous patient care, manage treatment plans effectively, and promote adherence to health and wellness protocols.

Let’s explore the workflow you must follow to add a patient to a recall cycle.
- Select a Patient in the Global Search Bar > click Appointments > Recalls.
- Choose the required Recall Type.
- Select the type of recall whether a Procedure Code or a Production Type that is linked to the recall as created in your Practice Settings.
- Select the desired Recall Name and Recall Code or Production Type from the corresponding drop-down lists.
- Enter the desired name of the procedure that triggers the recall cycle.
- When selecting the recall code ensure that it is tagged to the patient (the option that you choose will depend upon the Recall Codes that have been created in your Practice Settings).
- Update the Duration if required.
- Choose the recall interval before scheduling the follow-up treatment (from the last date of receiving this treatment). The duration will default to the time period selected in the Recall Code setup in Practice Settings.
- Select a Linked Appt. (Appointment), if available.
- Click Add Recall.
