The Refer Out report facilitates users in monitoring patients at your practice who have been referred out to a specialty practice.
Core Scenarios for Report Usage:
- Review all patients referred out during the chosen timeframe.
- Display the report in a consolidated format for each patient.
- Apply filters based on Referral Source/Destination, Specialty, Referring Provider, Patient, etc.
To generate the report, perform the steps below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Operational Reports under Insights.
- Click the + icon for the Refer Out report.
- Select the desired Filter Criteria such as Date Range, Location, Referred To, Referral Provider, Referred to Specialty, Patient, etc.
- Select Generate Report.
Let's walk you through a few significant fields of the Select Filter Criteria segment.
- Date Range*: Generate Refer Out data based on your selected date range. Select a maximum of up to 6 months. By default, the date range will be for the current day.
- Location*: Select this option to focus the report on patients who were Referred out from the selected location(s). By default, the location will be the user’s default location.
- Referred By: Select this option to focus the report on Refer-Outs generated by the selected in-house provider(s).
- Referral To: Select this option to focus your report on Refer-Outs made to the selected recipient.
- Referral Provider: Select this option to focus your report on Refer-Outs made to the selected referral provider(s).
- Referred to Specialty: Select this option to focus your report based on the specialty of the referral provider.
- Patient Flag: Select this option to focus the report only on patients that have the selected patient flag associated with their profile. Leave the option as Select All to find Refer Outs for all patients, regardless of their flags.
- Patient: Select this option to focus the report only on the selected patients.
- Columns*: Choose the desired columns you wish to see in this report. By default, all the columns will be selected.
