Once the clinical team has finished the Treatment(s) for their Appointment, it is time to mark those Codes as Completed. There are two ways this can be completed. You can complete the process from the Scheduler or from the Clinical Chart.
Watch this video for a comprehensive walkthrough.
To complete codes from the Scheduler, perform the following steps:
Navigate to the Scheduler > click on an Appointment tile to open the Appointment slider.
Select the Treatment Summary tab in the Appointment slider.
- Select the appropriate Code(s) that should be marked as Complete.
- Right-click the Linked Code(s) and select Complete from the list of options in the pop-up menu.
You will see the Code's Status changed to Completed and a notification at the top right stating, Code(s) completed successfully.
To complete the Procedure Codes from the Clinical Chart:
- Search for the patient using the Global Search Bar.
- Navigate to Clinical > Chart.
- Select the appropriate Code(s) that should be marked as Complete.
- Right-click the Linked Code(s).
- Select Complete from the list of options in the pop-up menu.
- When you click on Complete, you may come across any warning(s) as you see below that may alert you to correctly address the Provider, Location or urge you to Link the code to an Appointment.
- Please complete the required actions to move forward.
- Click Complete to continue.
Note: Users are provided with two choices on the Link to appointment pop-up. You can select Yes to complete the code by linking it to an Appointment or choose No to complete it by inputting the Location and Date of Service. |
- Let's say when a user adds codes to an appointment under a new doctor, the above pop-up will arise due to the discrepancy between the provider on the appointment and the provider attached to the codes with whom the appointment was originally booked.
- Another scenario in which this pop-up may appear is when a hygienist who performs multiple codes is also an appointment provider. In similar instances, review the pop-up based on your practice preferences and click Proceed to continue.
A toast notification will appear on the top right stating, 'Code(s) completed successfully'.
