Dentition refers to the type and arrangement of a patient's teeth. When a new patient is added, the system checks for a custom dentition setup based on the patient's age. If no custom setup exists for that age range, the system will apply the default dentition configuration. Users can create and manage custom dentition setups for various age ranges within the Practice Settings.

Let's get started!
Create and Manage Custom Dentitions
To create and manage custom dentitions, perform the steps below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Clinical > Dentition Setup.
To view the teeth arrangement of a Custom or Default Dentition:
- Select the intended dentition setup from the left.
| Note: If a Custom Dentition is set for an age group, it takes priority. Otherwise, the system automatically uses the Default Dentition. |
To add a custom dentition:
- Click +Add Custom Dentition on the top right.
- Enter the Start Age and End Age (For example: From age 11 to 12).
Note: If a custom dentition for the entered age range already exists, you must choose a different age range. Multiple custom dentition setups with the same or overlapping age ranges are not allowed. |
- Select the teeth using the tooth selector.
- A preview of the selected teeth will be displayed below.
- For easier selection, you can use options such as 'Select All Primary' or 'Select All Permanent' to quickly select a group of teeth.
- Click Save.
- View the newly created dentition setup in Custom Dentition section on the left.
- Once selected, you can Edit or Delete a dentition as needed.
Note: For reference, we have created a dentition setup for ages 23 to 24. When a user is created within this age range, the custom dentition will take priority over the system default. |
