- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Clinical > Perio Chart.
- Click Edit on the Perio Chart page.
- You can perform the following:
- Set colour-coded alert points.
- Select details to copy from a previous exam.
- Choose your direction of probing.
- Establish probing with a bar, line graph, or both with the measurement.
Perio Chart
- We can configure on a practice level what measurements (PD, GM, MGJ, BOP, SUP, PL, FUR, MOB) have to be taken by selecting the related checkboxes as shown in the image below. Whether three pockets have to be shown or not, is also configurable.
- Enable probing for Implants: If enabled, probing measurements are allowed for an implant. If not enabled, the implanted tooth will be skipped.
- Allow editing of Perio chart (a day): When selected, it lets the users edit the finished Perio chart on the day it was finished.
- Select data display preference: This setting is used to change the visual representation of depth measurements in the Perio chart. It is up to the practice’s discretion to use a Bar Graph / Line Graph / Both to indicate the data visually. Once the changes have been made, click on Save at the top to save your changes.
The Drop-down lists the following four options:
- All sites: Shows all 3 pocket depths.
- F/L centre only: Shows only the central pocket depth on the Facial / Lingual sites.
- Lingual centre only: Shows only the central pocket depth on the Lingual sites.
- Facial centre only: Shows only the central pocket depth on the Facial sites.
Default Provider Settings
- Enable Auto Advance: If auto-advance is enabled, the cursor will move onto the next pocket once a value is inputted. Probing direction can be chosen from the six diagrams shown in the Perio chart edit window.
- Parameters to auto-advance: This lets you customise the pocket depth measurements that will be auto-advanced once the entry is inputted.
- Parameters to Copy from Previous Exam: This lets the user configure the measurements that need to be copied from a previous exam.
- Print chart after finishing exam: If this check box is enabled, the print panel will open up once the Perio chart is marked as finished. If the checkbox to print the numeric chart is also selected, both the numeric chart and Perio chart will open up in the print panel.
- Choose your Direction of Probing, which allows users to decide which direction the auto-advance and probing should be.
- Once all configuration is done, click Save.
Manage Permissions
To fully utilise the perio chart features, enable the following permissions in Practice Settings.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Administration > Profiles.
- Click Manage Permissions on the intended profile.
On the Practice Settings section, checkmark the following permissions to enable them:
- View Perio Chart to view the perio chart settings at a practice level.
- Edit Perio Chart to update perio chart settings.
On the Treatment section, checkmark the following permissions to enable them:
- View Treatments to view the Perio chart.
- Add / Edit Treatments to add or edit a Perio chart.
- Delete Perio Chart permission to delete a perio exam from a patient's profile.
- Once all relevant permissions have been selected, click Save.
Additional Information
- If a tooth is marked as Missing / Hide 3rd molar, the same will be indicated in the patient’s Odontogram with the condition added accordingly.
- If the Missing / Hide 3rd molar option is unselected, the same will be removed from the Odontogram accordingly.
Configure Perio Chart Preferences at a User Level
To set perio chart preferences at a User Level:
Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Providers under Operations.
Click Edit on the row of the desired provider.
Set the Provider Preference and click Save.
Note: The default preference that you set under Clinical will serve as the standard. However, if the user modifies it within the provider preference settings, then the customised preference of the user will take precedence over the default preference. |
A toast notification will appear on the top right as 'Provider Settings updated successfully.'
