Perform the steps below.
Touchpoints to Access Add Message Modal
You can access the Add Message modal through the following touchpoints.
1. + Message Quick Link in Patient Overview
- Select the patient using the Global Search bar.
- Click the + Message quick link from the Patient Overview page.
2. + Message Quick Link in the Appointment Slide-Out
- Click on an appointment from the Scheduler or Appointments page.
- Click the + Message quick link.
3. Scheduler
- Right-click on an appointment from the Scheduler.
- Click Email/SMS.
4. Patient Menu
- Select the patient using the Global Search bar.
- Click Menu and select the Send Email/SMS option.
Send a Text or Email
| Note: The enhanced messaging modal will not be available across all touchpoints if the correspondence feature is not enabled at the account level. |
In the messaging modal:
- Select the Email or Text tab as needed.
For Email
Enter the following information:
- To: The selected patient's name will be pre-populated in the To field.
- From: Select your email address on the From option.
- Subject: Enter the Subject of the email.
- Content: Enter the content for the email, or select a Template from the left to populate a saved email template.

- Drag and drop any required files to add attachments, or click Browse Files to select the file to upload to the system.
- Click Send Email.
For Text
Enter the following information:
- You will see the Patient's Name and Phone Number.
- Enter the Content for the text message.
- If you have a saved template, click Select a Template to choose the desired one.
- Click the Image icon to insert an image or GIF.
- Click the Emoji icon to add an emoji.
- Click Send.

Tip: If you close the messaging modal without completing the email or text message, it will be automatically saved as a draft. You can access the draft emails or texts from the Communication Hub on the Dashboard. |
