Read on to explore the exciting features the 10.27 Release has to offer!
1. Recalls
a. Now, when booking a Pending Recall from the patient’s profile via Find Slot, you have the option to add Code(s) from the appointment slide-out in addition to automatically linked recalls.
b. Introduced the ability to link a Recall to a future appointment from a patient’s profile.
2. Block Slot
a. Previously, when hovering over several appointments and block slots that were in close proximity, the instantaneous appearance of block slot tooltips caused friction in the scheduling process.
- To rectify this, a short pause has been added before the Block Slot hover-tooltip appears to match appointment hover behaviour and avoid multiple tooltips popping up at once on the scheduler.
1. Treatment Planner
a. Quickly replicate an existing treatment plan and copy all treatment codes in Proposed status with a single click, using the new Copy Treatment Plan option accessible via the Tx Plan tab within the Chart or the Treatment Planner.
b. Currently, when a user adds a procedure code and links it to an appointment which is past the future fee effective date as per a fee schedule, the system will apply its configured Future Fees once the effective date has passed. However, to allow flexibility, the user can use the recalculate button.
-
Upon clicking the Re-calculate for the above case, the system will apply the future effective fee to the code.
2. Chart
a. Hover over a Tooth to quickly view the Active Conditions, listed from newest to oldest.
b. Easily add custom conditions or procedure codes with text based Draw Types. With these draw types, you can add a 2 character text on the tooth and 1 character text on the surface.
3. Perio Chart
a. Introduced a new Probing Direction that allows to capture the perio chart from right to left in the following order - upper facial, upper lingual, lower lingual, and then lower facial.
4. Terminology Update for Tooth Surfaces
a. To align with Australian dental terminology standards and improve clarity for practitioners, tooth surface labels have been updated. These updates adhere to Australian dental norms, enhancing usability and accuracy. Using “Labial” and “Palatal” instead of “Facial” and “Lingual” ensures consistency across clinical workflows and system interfaces.
- “Facial” renamed to “Labial (La)” for anterior teeth in upper and lower jaws.
- “Lingual” renamed to “Palatal (P)” for upper teeth surfaces.
- Surface codes updated throughout the system including Code Grid, Treatment Planner, Appointment slide-out, Tooth Chart hover, Code Stack, Care Notes, Perio Chart (upper teeth only), and print templates.
- Labels in Surface Selectors updated:
-
-
- “Buccal/Facial” → “Buccal/Labial”
- “Buccal/Facial Class V” → “Buccal/Labial Class V”
- “Lingual” → “Lingual/Palatal”
- “Lingual Class V” → “Lingual/Palatal Class V”
-
-
- Surface abbreviations changed from (B/F) to (B/La), and (L) to (L/P) consistently.
1. Discounts
a. Earlier, discounts added on a treatment plan applied only to procedure codes following a top-down approach. Now you have the option to evenly distribute the Discount Amount across all codes by checkmarking the ‘Apply Proportionally’ option.
1. Online Appointments
a. Users can set independent Patient Booking Workflow configurations for New and Existing patients to book appointments directly or request for appointments.
- Existing patients, who have records and prior treatments, can book directly, while new patients from third-party sources without records can be restricted from direct booking.
- Deposit fees are now collected only for direct bookings and not for requested appointments, if enabled.
b. Introduced the ability to configure different Deposit Fees for the same appointment reason for different locations.
-
-
Deposit fees now display dynamically on the Online Appointment Portal, reflecting the configured fee for the selected location and appointment reason.
-
2. Add New Patient Slide-Out
a. Select the related checkboxes to easily update Mobile, Address, Email, and Additional Contact information for all family members when adding a new patient.
- Additionally, the system will automatically update the corresponding mobile and email subscriptions based on the selected options.
3. Office Wizard
a. The Office Wizard now supports uploading Word (.docx) Templates. These documents can include quick links that pull in patient, referral provider, provider and account data.
- While adding forms to the patient, the uploaded word template will be automatically downloaded to the system and users can continue editing the template offline with the relevant patient, provider, or account information auto-filled.
4. Forms and Letters
a. Introduced enhancements to Forms and Letters (including Referral Letter) to make editing easier.
- Users can click the Fullscreen mode for a broader editing view.
- Resize the paragraph text area by clicking and dragging the corner handle.
