The 10.24 Release is here, and it’s full of exciting enhancements designed to elevate your everyday workflow. This update brings a suite of improvements to Task Manager, Patient Alerts, and Sterilisation, along with robust enhancements across multiple modules to help your practice run smarter and faster.
Top highlights include:
- The all-new Appointment Flags feature.
- Basic Periodontal Examination in the Clinical Chart.
- The ability to add Facilities to the system.
- Location-based enhancements in Lab Cases, Production Calendar, Operational Reports, and Opportunity Miner.
But that's not all! We’ve also rolled out:
- The ability to print blank forms.
- Manual insurance claim cancellation.
- Fee schedule permissions for better control.

1. Appointment Status
- System and Custom appointment statuses are now displayed together in the Appointment Status grid, allowing users to view Descriptions for all statuses.
- Easily reorder Custom and System Appointment Statuses with a simple click and drag.
2. Appointment Flags
- The new Appointment Flag feature enables practices to create custom flags with a short code and a unique colour to highlight specific appointment requirements.
- Users can configure appointment flags to appear on the Appointment Tile once an appointment is booked.
- While scheduling an appointment, users can assign a flag previously created in Practice Settings.
3. Production Calendar
- Practices can restrict a user's ability to edit or delete Provider Availability schedules based on their location. However, users can view the schedules of all other locations regardless of their access level.
4. Facility
- Practices that provide care beyond the clinic can now set up schools, churches, and other community sites as Facilities in the system and link them to patient records for accurate tracking and reporting.
1. Perio Chart
- Take advantage of the flexibility to modify the Provider and Location during an ongoing Perio Examination and up to 24 hours after its completion, allowing practices greater control over provider and location changes throughout the examination process.
- View a lingual tooth's bleeding condition on the perio chart and its print out, regardless of the 'Show Lingual Teeth' toggle status.
- Added a new Mobility Comparison (MOB) view to the Perio Graph and Numeric Comparison, allowing users to better track the mobility of all teeth.
- The printout of the Perio and Numeric Chart now includes labels explaining icons and abbreviations, ensuring clarity for insurance companies.
- The Perio Chart displays the shortcut recommendations for users to mark conditions such as bleeding and suppuration.
2. Implant Tracker
- Users can add a new Implant with or without specifying the Type of Work.
3. Lab Case
- Improved traceability of Lab Cases against location by linking the location manually or based on appointment selected while adding a lab case.
4. Fee Schedule
- Leverage the newly added section in Practice Settings to manage permissions for Fee Schedule and related areas.
5. Basic Periodontal Examination (BPE)
- Introducing the Basic Periodontal Examination (BPE), designed to screen periodontal issues and guide treatment needs. Create new records effortlessly and use keyboard shortcuts for recording bleeding and furcation. You can easily view, modify, and make necessary alterations to suit your practice’s needs.
6. Treatment Planner
- The sort order of the Treatment Plans will be retained even after the users have navigated away and returned to the Treatment Planner page.
1. Claims
- Utilise the ability to manually Cancel Claims, using which automatically removes any linked receipts.

1. IRIS
- Enhanced Chrome Push Notification performance in IRIS Office Chat to reduce the risk of missed messages and support efficient communication across teams.
2. Office Wizard
- Use the new Provider Licence Number quick link in forms or letters when requesting provider information.
3. Print Forms & Letters
- Print a blank form or letter from the Add Form(s) popup or Office Wizard. Users can print a filled up or blank form from the Patient Overview page separately.
- Print a blank form or letter from the three dotted menu.
1. Patient Alerts
In the Patient Alerts modal:
- Users can select one or more Patient Alerts or use the Select All option to perform actions in bulk.
- Using the new ‘Always’ option, users can set selected alerts to remain permanently snoozed.
On the Alerts page:
- Snoozed alerts are now marked with a Snoozed tag for easy identification.
- The Snoozed Until column displays the duration of the snooze period.
2. Communication Hub
- Outlook integration has been introduced in the Communication Hub, allowing users to link their accounts.
1. Operational Reports
- Select ‘Learn More’ to access the related help article for the chosen operational report.
- Introduced a Location Restriction in Operational Reports that restricts a user to view only accessible locations while setting up the filter criteria. For reports that require multiple location drop down, only the mandatory location field will appear. If the user has any saved filters, they can only view the allowed locations.
- Easily refer to the description and use cases for each on-screen generated Operational Report to quickly understand and customise columns based on your specific needs.
2. Refer In Report
- Introduced new columns on the Detail View of the report, including Lifetime Applied Payments, Planned Treatment Amount, and Broken Appointment Count.
3. Lab Case Report
- Users can view Appointment Location or Manually Selected Location information on the generated lab case report.
4. Impacts of Facility
- Added facility as a filter criteria in Opportunity Miner.
- Facility selection is now supported as a filter in the 'Appointments by Provider' and 'Scheduled vs Production' reports.
1. Task Manager
- The Patient Search Bar in Task Manager now displays the last ten recent patients.
- Click and drag Checklist items to change their order.
- Click the patient name in a task to quickly view their Patient Snapshot.
2. NPS Tracking
- Share Feedback on CareStack using the NPS (Net Promoter Score) Tracking feature, with provision to highlight areas for improvement and provide star-based ratings.
3. Sterilisation
- The system now auto-populates the next serial number based on the last generated value, eliminating the need for users to manually input the previous serial number.
- The sterilisation log displays the item name automatically upon entering a unique serial number, enabling easy identification of the item.
- Clicking an item on a saved sterilisation log now displays only the associated cycle details.
