1. Appointment Slide-Out
- Introduced a new Link Recall button to quickly add recalls to the appointment.
-
- The recall statuses include: Overdue, Unscheduled, and Broken.
-
- You can add treatments and book an appointment at one go using the Book Appointment button.
- Ability to easily add codes from treatment plans to the appointment with the Add to Appointment button.
- Practices can now make it mandatory to add at least one code to the appointment when an appointment is created.
-
- Users can email support.aus@carestack.com to have it enabled.
-
2. Scheduler
- Utilise the new Warning icon to manage appointments hidden by Scheduler filters or provider unavailability. Let's say a provider is marked as unavailable or their schedule is deleted with an appointment, the associated operatory and its scheduled appointments are automatically removed, but can be viewed via the Warning button.
-
- Additional ability to review Appointment Details and update Appointment Status.
-
- Previously, Cancelled or No-Show appointments were removed from the scheduler, making it difficult to track them. To address this, we've added a new button that displays these appointments in their originally scheduled time slots.
-
- No-Show appointments will appear stricken off from one direction.
- Cancelled appointments will appear stricken off from both directions.
-
1. Perio Chart
- Previously, extracted implants continued to appear in the chart, resulting in an inaccurate representation of the patient's dental status. To ensure clarity, extracted implants will now display with an ‘X’ over the Implant draw type, allowing users to clearly see that an implant was present for a specific tooth and has since been extracted.
-
-
- If an extraction (existing or completed) is recorded after an implant, the implant extraction will be reflected in the Perio Chart.
- When both implant and extraction are marked as existing, the implant is prioritised. For existing and completed treatments, the completed treatment takes priority.
-
- Introduced a ‘View Statistics’ option in the Perio Chart to display categorised summaries for pocket depth, gingival margin, furcations, mobility, and bleeding on probing based on highest recorded values per tooth.
2. Chart
- Introduced the option to hide Completed or Rejected treatments on the Tx Plans tab.
-
- Treatment plans in which all treatments are marked as completed or rejected will be hidden from the list, unless the ‘Hide Completed/Rejected Items’ is unchecked.
-
- Ungrouped treatments can now be viewed separately on the Tx Plan tab in descending order based on their added date.
- Leverage an improved treatment planning experience with the ability to quickly switch views that display the Selected Treatment Plan, or all conditions of the patient as required.
3. Recalls
- Ability to filter Recalls by ‘Broken’ appointment status that includes Cancelled, No-Show, or Deleted appointments.
- Download Recalls list of all patients in PDF or CSV format.
- Utilise the new Print button to easily take a printout of the recalls list.
- Ability to send a text message or email to patients from the recalls list if correspondence is enabled.
4. Clinical Cases
- You can now get an overall view of a care note via the Show Details button.
- Utilise the new Minimised View to record care notes for a clinical case directly while viewing appointment or treatment details, thus reducing the back and forth navigation between tabs.
1. Referral Sources
- Introduced a new ‘System’ label to distinguish system provided referral sources from the others.
1. Payment Plans
- Patients will hereafter receive an email to notify acknowledgement or failure of a payment applied to a Payment Plan.
-
- Users can email support.aus@carestack.com to have it enabled.
-
2. Payment Plan Control Center
- Filter active Payment Plans by the Next Payment Date in ascending or descending order.
-
Download a list of active payment plans as a CSV file, applying filters if needed.
-
- Only filtered results will be included in the download.
-
3. HICAPS
- Previously, when a HICAPS claim was rejected, users were not able to view the rejection details. Hereafter, practices can view the reason for rejection on a claim with zero benefit on the Printed Claim Copy and Quote Printout.
4. All Claims
- The system will record HICAPS Claims with zero benefit which is accessible on the All Claims page.
5. Migrated Transactions
- A new column has been added to show the Transaction Type for each migrated transaction, offering clearer insight into the purpose of each entry.
- Quickly find specific migrated transactions by filtering the grid using Transaction Type, Code, Description, Provider, or Location.
- The printout of the Migrated Transactions List now includes a 'Transactions' header and displays the newly added Transaction Type column.
6. Ledger
- Right-click a Ledger line item to view the category-specific context menu that offers quick access to relevant actions. For instance, a right-click on a payment provides the option to reverse or delete the payment.
1. Patient Portal
- Download Receipts of payments made on the Patient Portal.
- Introduced new settings to include the General Practitioner field appear in the Patient Portal or Kiosk and mark it as mandatory, as needed.
2. Add or Edit Patient Slide-Out

-
- Users can email support.aus@carestack.com to have it enabled.
-
3. Forms
- Make use of the newly added quicklinks to add General Practitioner information.
-
- Users can email support.aus@carestack.com to have it enabled.
-
- When adding a new form to a patient, the General Practitioner (GP) details will auto-populate if they have already been entered in the patient’s profile.
-

- Leverage the ability to add a Task from the Patient Snapshot touchpoints.
- Introduced permissions to manage Add, Edit, or Delete actions for Task Settings, including Templates, Flags, and User Groups.
- For recurring tasks, you can delete a single occurrence or all future ones.
- A dedicated tab has been added to create User Groups from existing users, enabling practices to assign tasks to a group.
- Ability to assign tasks by a combination of user groups and individual users as preferred.
- Introducing two new assignment options:
-
-
-
- Assign one shared task requiring completion by any one assignee.
- Assign individual tasks requiring action from each selected user.
-
-
- For quick access, pending tasks of a patient created in the task manager will appear under the Action(s) Required section on the Patient Overview page.
2. Sterilisation
- Introduced the option to add Notes while creating a new sterilisation cycle.
- While adding items to a sterilisation cycle with unique serial numbers, users can first enter all serial numbers, then add item details in a separate step streamlining the process.
